Tryptamines: a research overview
Tryptamines are a broad chemical family. Some act on serotonin receptors and are studied in pharmacology, neuroscience and toxicology. Effects, duration and risk are not interchangeable across the family, even where structures look similar.
The literature discusses possible psychological effects, interactions with other substances, and the importance of screening for contraindications in any approved clinical setting. For study design or analytical interpretation, use current primary literature and institution-approved protocols.
